SG Campus Recruitment - Localization QA (LQA) Intern (Gamedev)

What you will do

• Conduct language and functional testing of localized in-game text, UI, events, and narratives.
• Review translations from a native target-market perspective and correct unnatural wording, cultural issues, and tone deviations.
• Log and track localization defects, including text truncation, variable misplacement, encoding problems, and contextual errors.
• Verify consistency and compliance across language and regional versions.
• Coordinate with localization and worldview/narrative teams on how stories are received in target languages.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled student or fresh graduate; language, translation, media, game, and digital media majors are preferred.
• Native-level proficiency in English and/or French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, or other European or American target-market languages.
• Strong sensitivity to target-market culture, slang, and gaming terminology.
• Meticulous, patient, and quality-focused, with the ability to log issues systematically.
• Casual or merge game player experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in localization, translation, QA, or game testing.
• Second or third language proficiency for multilingual testing.
• Familiarity with localization tools or bug-tracking systems such as Jira.
