Director - Philanthropy

Location: Miami, Florida; Doral, Florida preferred at the local Territory Office, with strong candidates welcomed from the East Florida area.

What you will do

• Develop and implement philanthropy strategies aligned with organizational goals and business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of professionals, including goal-setting, development, performance expectations, and success metrics.
• Manage a portfolio of principal gift donors through identification, discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Establish policies and procedures, improve organizational effectiveness, and manage activities within budget parameters.
• Monitor fundraising programs, hospital initiatives, industry trends, monthly revenue progress, reports, expenses, donor visits, and proposals.
• Build positive relationships with third-party organizations and volunteers while representing hirify.global and St. Jude.

Requirements

• Successful track record soliciting and stewarding six- and seven-figure gifts in major gifts and bequest or planned giving.
• Thorough knowledge of bequest and planned giving in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong understanding of general management methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external relationships.
• Ability to understand complex verbal and written instructions.
• 8+ years of relevant experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
