Senior Accounts Assistant (12 month - Maternity Cover)

What you will do

• Support the management of the sales ledger, including credit control, customer receipts, EDI, direct debits, and customer statements.
• Maintain stock and non-stock purchase ledgers, including purchase orders, invoices, approvals, coding, payment runs, and supplier queries.
• Track supplier orders, shipping and receipts, and intercompany stock movements.
• Prepare monthly recharges, daily and month-end reports, and required reconciliations.
• Complete invoice financing declarations and process payments and drawdowns to support cash flow management.
• Support financial reporting, internal controls, monthly management accounts, and annual statutory accounts while working with finance, commercial, logistics, and sales stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in an accounts team, including one year in a senior role.
• Strong communication skills, excellent work ethic, and an ambitious approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and learn quickly.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to take a hands-on approach in a small finance team.
• Part-qualified status or IATI training is preferred.
