TL;DR
Staff Engineer, Technical Program Manager - Technology Development (Manufacturing): Driving end-to-end technology readiness planning across PTD programs and the slider factory with an accent on staging strategy, roadmap alignment, and manufacturing ramp readiness. Focus on prioritizing development activities, coordinating cross-functional execution, managing readiness risks, and building data-driven performance tracking.
Location: Korat, Thailand; onsite at the manufacturing facility

operates a large-scale manufacturing facility producing cloud-based storage equipment and finished drives.
What you will do
- Define and manage technology staging strategies across PTD programs and align them with product ramp schedules.
- Establish readiness criteria, tracking methods, dashboards, and risk assessments for key technology enablers.
- Prioritize technology development activities according to product roadmaps, business impact, and resource constraints.
- Align process, equipment, materials, and integration roadmaps to deliver required capabilities on schedule.
- Coordinate R&D, Process Integration, Equipment Engineering, Operations, and Program teams through structured, data-driven reviews.
- Identify readiness gaps, lead root-cause analysis, and drive corrective action and mitigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related engineering.
- Strong experience in technology development, process integration, or product work in manufacturing environments such as HDD or semiconductor production.
- Proven project or program management and cross-functional coordination experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with technology readiness frameworks such as TRL or similar staging models.
- Experience with product ramp planning, high-volume manufacturing transitions, and precision manufacturing metrics including cleanliness, process capability, and yield.
Nice to have
- Experience working with global, cross-site teams.
- Knowledge of advanced data analytics or modeling tools.
