TL;DR
MSL Material Science Lab Intern Data Scientist (Web Integration) (Web dashboards, LIMS APIs, and laboratory data): Designing and developing a web-based dashboard for laboratory operation control with an accent on LIMS integration, data processing, and secure interface design. Focus on integrating APIs or middleware, building scalable workflows, and applying image processing, machine learning, and AI techniques to laboratory and manufacturing data.
Location: Korat, Thailand; onsite role
Company
operates a large manufacturing facility in Korat producing cloud-based storage equipment and storage components.
What you will do
- Design and develop a web-based dashboard and interface for laboratory operation control.
- Integrate the interface with the LIMS system through APIs or middleware.
- Work with lab engineers and data scientists to understand workflows and requirements.
- Build secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
- Document the development process and prepare training materials for end users.
- Report project status, accomplishments, issues, and assignments to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Degree or master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of web development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue; RESTful APIs; data integration; and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Programming proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and C++.
- Familiarity with Linux, computer networks, cloud technologies, databases, and virtual machines.
- Awareness of data privacy and security in laboratory environments.
- Fluent spoken and written English communication is required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IoT, web development, or system integration.
- Experience with KNIME, image processing, MATLAB, vision systems, data networking, or coding.
- Experience with data preparation, image classification, data center management, machine learning, or AI projects.
- Basic knowledge of LIMS and laboratory workflows; training is provided.
