TL;DR
Principal Global SLC Pre-Sales Consultant (Healthcare and Life Sciences) (SAS/Python/R/SQL): Supporting enterprise sales of the SLC environment by leading technical discovery, architecture discussions, code-porting assessments, pilots, proof-of-concepts, and pharmaceutical industry demonstrations with an accent on SAS compatibility, portability, performance, and modernization. Focus on designing technical evaluations, guiding statistical programming adoption, and translating customer requirements into product roadmap input.

Location: Malmö, Gothenburg, or Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid workplace

Salary: 1,061,600–2,016,800 SEK annually, including a 30% annual incentive target

What you will do

  • Support account executives throughout the sales process and own the technical customer relationship.
  • Lead business and technical discovery, requirements gathering, architecture discussions, workshops, and RFI/RFP responses.
  • Assess the feasibility, effort, compatibility, portability, and performance of running existing SAS code in SLC.
  • Scope and conduct pilots, proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, and industry-specific software demonstrations.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise in SAS and pharmaceutical statistical programming, including pharma projects, papers, webinars, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, service partners, and technology partners to guide solution direction and product roadmap input.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience programming in the SAS language.
  • Deep understanding of statistical programming in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as presales, solutions consulting, technical consulting, training, or technical support.
  • Experience designing and running proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, workshops, architecture discussions, and technical demonstrations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain SAS behavior, migration patterns, compatibility, and performance implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Swedish is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with R and/or Python.
  • Knowledge of low-code AI tools.
