FT Pharmacy Assistant (Mat Leave)

Location: Onsite at 2151-10153 King George Blvd, Surrey, BC V3T 2W3, Canada

Salary: $17.60–$23.10 CAD per hour, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Receive prescriptions, check required patient and prescriber information, and follow provincial legal and regulatory conditions.
• Process prescription data, patient profiles, refills, reports, pricing, dosage calculations, and written prescription details using pharmacy computer systems.
• Fill prescriptions under Pharmacist supervision by selecting, counting, measuring, labeling, and preparing products for final checking.
• Maintain inventory by ordering and stocking drugs and supplies, checking expired medications, processing returns, and managing pharmacy orders.
• Keep the dispensary, equipment, supplies, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Complete filing and administrative duties and support OTC ordering, stocking, and cashier operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to follow provincial pharmacy legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to accurately interpret and process written prescriptions, including Latin abbreviations, drug names, and dosage calculations.
• Ability to work under Pharmacist supervision and contribute to pharmacy operations and customer service.
