Algorithm Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Provide algorithmic technical support for product escalations across different lifecycle phases.
• Work with TSMC, Global Service Support, customers, system engineering, technology, and architecture teams to investigate issues and develop solutions.
• Analyze signal and noise characteristics of IC yield-limiting defects and develop solutions through simulation and prototyping.
• Investigate advanced algorithms for next-generation inspection products and create prototypes for customer projects.
• Define algorithm performance specifications with system engineering and guide design and implementation.
• Represent algorithms during hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and software quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or a doctoral degree with no related experience required.
• Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills, with curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Solid theoretical background in signal processing, image processing, and computer vision.
• Research or software development experience on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and solid CUDA programming skills.
• Effective communication skills for sharing technical information and preparing reports for management and customers.
