Plant Control Room Operator (Quartz Processing)

Location: Randolph, Minnesota, United States; onsite plant operations

Salary: $22.00–$30.00 per hour; $1,000 sign-on bonus distributed based on continued success with the team.

What you will do

• Monitor and control quartz processing systems and equipment from the central control room.
• Operate crushers, screens, conveyors, and related machinery through process control systems and HMI interfaces.
• Track production targets, raw material inventory, quality parameters, and operating costs, taking corrective action when needed.
• Respond to alarms, process upsets, and emergencies to stabilize operations and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance, supply chain, logistics, and quality teams, including rail car loading and unloading.
• Maintain operating records and provide reports on production, equipment status, and operational issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a control room or similar operational role in a production or manufacturing facility; 3+ years in facility operations or process control is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with process control systems such as DCS and PLC, HMI interfaces, and Oracle.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, process operations, safety standards, OSHA requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, attention-to-detail, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and write in English and acquire all required safety certifications.
