Platform Engineer Intern

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Downtown Dallas, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Support the Platform Engineering team in improving and scaling the platform.
• Develop backend web functionality using current technologies.
• Work with cloud infrastructure scaling, DevOps, DevSecOps, and developer experience.
• Contribute to the evolution of data infrastructure and data warehouse architecture.
• Solve software problems for manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, and industrial environments.

Requirements

• Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with one semester or quarter remaining.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with backend frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Express.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in-office at the headquarters in Downtown Dallas.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, database management services, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
