Intern in Project Finance & Infrastructure, Strategy & Transactions (PFI)

Location: Onsite in Astana, Kazakhstan

EY provides advisory services through its Strategy and Transactions department, including corporate and project finance support for investment and infrastructure projects.

What you will do

• Assist with tender documentation, investment agreements, presentations, analytical materials, and other project deliverables.
• Collect, structure, and analyze financial, economic, and market information.
• Support corporate and project finance engagements and prepare proposals for potential clients.
• Contribute to business development activities and promotion of the team’s services.
• Prepare internal project documentation and provide administrative support when needed.
• Collaborate with project team members on day-to-day project tasks.

Requirements

• University degree or final-year studies in Finance, Corporate Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in corporate finance, project finance, investments, and infrastructure projects.
• Good command of English and Russian, including written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and information-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, learn quickly, and take on new challenges.
• No prior professional experience is required.

Nice to have

• Preparation for the CFA or CP3P examinations.
• Participation in student organizations, case competitions, volunteering, or research projects.
• Previous internship or work experience involving financial or analytical tasks.
• Up to one or two years of experience in finance, data analytics, management, or business analysis.
• Experience preparing analytical reports, structured presentations, or financial materials.
