Summer 2027 Supply Chain Buyer Intern - Bachelor's (Santa Clara, CA)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Support Supplier Account Managers, Procurement and Materials Managers, and Supply Chain Analytics during a 12-week summer internship.
• Complete supplier requests for quotations, prepare supplier profiles, and assist with meetings, presentations, business reviews, and capacity reviews.
• Perform buyer activities by creating, rescheduling, and cancelling purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
• Track material status, expedite deliveries, provide factory updates, and resolve purchase-order invoice and receipt discrepancies.
• Identify alternate or emergency material sources and mitigate excess purchase orders and inventory through supplier negotiations.
• Perform part, MRP, and spend analytics to improve supply chain practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related major.
• Good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Strong listening, written, quantitative, qualitative, and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics skills, including advanced Excel and working with multiple datasets.
• Valid work authorization for the entire internship period is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.
