Freelance In-Person Event Host

Location: On-site in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa; candidates must already be based in Cape Town

What you will do

• Host impactful, engaging team-building and social impact events that support local causes.
• Welcome, engage, and inspire participants during in-person experiences.
• Present events in partnership with nonprofit organizations or lead them independently.
• Use storytelling to help volunteers understand the impact of their participation.
• Give clear instructions and guide volunteers through engaging activities.
• Attend 1–4 preparation meetings before each event, depending on event complexity.

Requirements

• Must already be based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
• Fluent English required.
• Strong experience in event hosting, facilitation, and emceeing.
• Experience managing group dynamics and engaging both large and small groups.
• Excellent public speaking, customer service, and presentation skills.
• High energy, a charismatic and positive personality, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly during events.
