Fraud Prevention Analyst

Location: Heredia, Costa Rica; hybrid work with three days onsite at the AFZ location and the remaining days remote

What you will do

• Build subject matter expertise in supported hirify.global Stores, including tools, processes, and the order-processing lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate payment fraud trends using established processes, policies, and daily strategies.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer escalations and team support.
• Engage with customers by phone or email to investigate suspicious behavior and uncover fraudulent activity.
• Evaluate complex and unique fraud cases, exercise independent judgment, and recommend appropriate actions.

Requirements

• University degree or comparable proven experience.
• Very fluent English at 90% or higher, both oral and written, with strong communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, independent working, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekend support when required.

Nice to have

• Previous payment fraud experience.
• Chargeback management or fraud prevention knowledge.
