AI Lead

Location: hirify.global Head Office in Stockholm, Sweden; in-person collaboration at the office is prioritized.

What you will do

• Own the AI product and architecture strategy, identifying where AI can create measurable business value.
• Design and build the AI platform, including model routing, agentic commerce, agentic protocols, and CLI strategy.
• Prepare data for AI through improvements to quality, indexing, embeddings, semantic search, and context management.
• Enable Product Managers and Engineering teams to identify and ship high-value AI capabilities for merchant and developer experiences.
• Evaluate foundation models, open-source models, multimodal AI, AI infrastructure, knowledge graphs, MCP, and CLI ecosystems.
• Establish reusable AI capabilities, patterns, and architecture standards for product teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Software or AI Engineering.
• Strong backend engineering experience.
• Experience with data engineering platforms and cloud platforms.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Strong interest in frontier AI technologies and software architecture.
• Ability to write production code, build prototypes, evaluate models, and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Data, Security, and Leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, vector databases, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, RAG, CLIs, MCP, agents, context engineering, knowledge graphs, GraphRAG, or event-driven architectures.
