Manager, Engineering – Robotics

Salary: $97,500–$135,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, firmware/controls, and systems engineers.
• Own robotic system design from concept, CAD/CAE, and prototyping through verification, validation, and mass production.
• Integrate LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, cliff and bump sensors, actuators, motors, batteries, and embedded electronics into reliable robotic products.
• Drive system-level testing and continuous improvements in cost, manufacturability, quality, reliability, and consumer value.
• Apply tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA, and electromechanical assembly expertise for high-volume production.
• Collaborate with product development teams in the UK and China and with executive leadership.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product development, robotics, or a related field.
• Experience shipping consumer products or consumer robotics and leading projects.
• Strong mechanical engineering and physics fundamentals, including mechanical design, kinematics, dynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Working knowledge of sensing, actuation, motion planning, controls, and embedded systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with sensors, motors, motor drivers, batteries, PCBAs, embedded controllers, and test equipment; excellent CAD skills.
• BS, MS, or BA in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar Engineering discipline.

Nice to have

• Embedded firmware, controls algorithms, or robotics software stack experience, including motion control, SLAM/localization, or sensor integration.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
