TL;DR
Regional General Manager (Fintech): Building and scaling Capi's commercial organization across African markets with an accent on country-team development, performance systems, regulatory engagement, and strategic partnerships. Focus on coaching Commercial Team Leads into autonomous Country General Managers, establishing repeatable operating models, and supporting market expansion across West Africa.
Location: Abidjan or Dakar; on-site. Significant travel across the region is required.

What you will do
- Support the Head of Growth in defining and executing regional commercial strategy.
- Monitor transaction volume, revenue, customer acquisition, retention, profitability, and regional KPIs.
- Build dashboards, reporting structures, playbooks, forecasting processes, and scalable operating systems.
- Lead and coach Commercial Team Leads across countries, developing them into autonomous Country General Managers.
- Support market expansion, licensing and regulatory initiatives, and relationships with BCEAO, regulators, banks, payment networks, and financial institutions.
- Coordinate with Product, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, and COMEX on regional priorities and decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in commercial leadership, general management, strategy, consulting, operations, or business development.
- Experience managing or developing teams across multiple markets, business units, or countries.
- Demonstrated experience building systems, processes, and operating models in a high-growth environment.
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or B2B technology is strongly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder-management, financial judgment, analytical, communication, and people-leadership skills.
- Fluent English and French required; willingness to travel regularly across the region is required.
Nice to have
- Experience working with regulators, financial institutions, or licensing processes.
- Strong understanding of African markets, particularly West Africa.
