What you will do

  • Develop manipulator control and end-effector handling for autonomous underwater vehicles used in close-range inspection and non-destructive testing.
  • Build solutions for inspecting pipelines, offshore facilities, energy networks, and communication infrastructure under real ocean conditions.
  • Plan, support, and evaluate simulations and maritime field tests.
  • Analyze sensor and navigation data to validate robotic systems and algorithms.
  • Implement and evaluate algorithms using ROS2, open-source frameworks, and relevant robotics libraries.
  • Collaborate with mission-planning, manipulator-control, and vehicle-control teams, universities, and research institutions.

Requirements

  • Degree in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Several years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or maritime robotics.
  • Solid expertise in manipulator control and strong programming skills in C++.
  • Hands-on experience with ROS2-based systems and MoveIt or comparable manipulator-control libraries.
  • Independent, structured, team-oriented working style with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong interest in research and collaboration with universities and research institutes.
