What you will do

  • Develop control systems for manipulator arms mounted on autonomous underwater vehicles.
  • Implement efficient kinematics computation and trajectory planning for close-range inspection and non-destructive testing.
  • Design and validate inspection solutions for pipelines, offshore platforms, and energy and communication networks under real ocean conditions.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate simulations and maritime field tests using sensor and navigation data.
  • Implement and evaluate algorithms with C++, ROS2, open-source frameworks, and relevant robotics libraries.
  • Collaborate with mission-planning and vehicle-control teams, universities, and research institutions on joint R&D projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Several years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or maritime robotics.
  • Solid knowledge of control engineering, ideally for robotic manipulators.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and hands-on experience with ROS2-based systems.
  • Knowledge of libraries for computing kinematic chains.
  • Independent, structured, team-oriented working style with strong communication and collaboration skills.
