Mid/Senior .NET/React Software Engineer

Location: Zagreb, Croatia; flexible hybrid work model with in-person collaboration, remote work, and flexible hours.

What you will do

• Deliver and maintain scalable backend services using .NET.
• Develop frontend features with React to improve the customer experience.
• Build and optimize authentication, account sign-up, roles, permissions, and system settings.
• Collaborate across agile teams, contribute to sprint planning, and adapt as priorities change.
• Own technical issues and solutions end to end.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial software development experience.
• Proficiency with C# and .NET Core or newer.
• Frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Understanding of relational databases such as MSSQL or PostgreSQL.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, plus familiarity with code review and automated testing practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Docker, and cloud environments.
• Experience supporting or troubleshooting production distributed systems.
• Interest in fintech, payment platforms, or secure customer-facing services.
