Software Engineer (AUTOSAR)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work environment

Annual gross base salary: RON 246,000–360,800

What you will do

• Develop embedded C/Linux software components for automotive telematics systems.
• Review software specifications, architecture, and design documents and create component designs.
• Analyze existing embedded software to add features, fix defects, modify components, and port them to other platforms.
• Perform functional, unit, and system-level testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Resolve unclear requirements and technical issues with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Coordinate development activities, risk assessments, design reviews, and complex technical tasks with software teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT specialization.
• At least 3 years of software development experience, including 3 years of C programming.
• Strong Linux skills and experience developing embedded applications and working with embedded operating systems.
• Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, and socket communication.
• Working knowledge of software development processes and automotive software standards.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Classic AUTOSAR software components, RTE API, CDD, and Vector DaVinci experience.
• Automotive protocols and tools including UDS, CAN, Ethernet, SomeIP, TCP, UDP, CANoe, Lauterbach, and Trace32.
• Connectivity, software update, diagnostics, security, Linux kernel, UML, Scrum, or SAFe experience.
