Engineer II, Software (C++ Developer, Trading Domain)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance market data applications in C++ on Linux.
• Build and enhance real-time handlers for exchange feeds, including quotes, trades, order book depth, and status updates.
• Optimize low-latency, high-throughput components for performance and memory efficiency.
• Participate in the full Agile development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Investigate production issues involving performance, data correctness, and system stability.
• Review code, reduce technical debt, and collaborate with Product, QA, and Support teams.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on C++ development experience on Linux.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++11/14/17, STL, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with Linux system programming, multithreading, synchronization, and inter-process communication.
• Experience developing low-latency or high-performance systems and processing real-time data.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP, UDP, and multicast.
• Experience debugging complex production issues, writing unit and component tests, and working with build systems, version control, and CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Experience with market data systems, exchange feeds, order books, or trade processing.
• Knowledge of financial market protocols, binary feed handling, or FIX.
• Experience with performance-tuning tools, latency profiling, Python or Shell scripting, resilience patterns, failover, and high-availability systems.
