Senior Animator (iGaming)

Location: Silverwater, Australia; 4:1 on-site working arrangement

What you will do

• Create animations for slot-game symbols, wins, reel transitions, feature sequences, jackpots, and characters.
• Translate storyboards and game design documents into fluid, on-brand animation.
• Own animation timing and impact across wins, near-misses, and feature triggers.
• Collaborate with game designers and developers to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize animations in-engine.
• Manage animation assets, rigs, and reusable files across projects and maintain visual consistency across titles.
• Review junior and mid-level animators' work, provide feedback, and mentor team members while contributing to pitches and proof-of-concept animations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional animation experience, ideally in gaming.
• Expert proficiency with industry-standard animation tools and a strong 2D animation foundation.
• Strong knowledge of animation principles, timing, and short-form, high-repetition game content.
• Experience preparing and exporting assets for real-time game engines; Unity experience is highly regarded.
• Ability to work within technical constraints, communicate effectively, and mentor junior team members.
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating 2D animation, including character, FX/transition, and UI or motion graphics work, plus full working rights in Australia.

Nice to have

• Land-based gaming experience, rigging, illustration, or character design skills.
• Familiarity with the Australian gaming market and regulations.
• Agile cross-functional game development experience.
• 3D-to-2D hybrid workflows or particle and FX tools experience.
