Focus on building robot control environments from scratch, integrating actuators and ROS components, and solving complex control and simulation challenges.

What you will do

  • Develop real-time motion control software for robot manipulators using inverse kinematics, collision avoidance, and active compliance control.
  • Build custom robot control software, including actuator driver and ROS framework integrations.
  • Integrate software components into robotic solutions ready for enterprise-level production.
  • Develop and test robot control environments with ROS2, MoveIt, URDF, and Gazebo.
  • Investigate issues through logs, metrics, and experiments, and deliver fixes and features end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in a relevant field.
  • Expert-level C++ development on Linux/Ubuntu.
  • Expertise in ROS2 and MoveIt Motion Planning, including creating a ROS environment from a URDF and controlling a robot in Gazebo.
  • Experience developing software for robot manipulators, plus hands-on experience with motor control and PID algorithms.
  • Knowledge of robotics control theory, including kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control.
  • Business-level English and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Japanese language skills for communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with force/torque and compliance control software.
  • Experience simulating robotic systems and their interactions in physics-based environments.
  • Data-driven debugging, experimentation, and autonomous problem-solving.
