TL;DR
Data Engineer (Digital Twin): Transforming utility, GIS, LiDAR, and asset data into high-accuracy digital twin models of electricity networks with an accent on schema-based configuration, engineering-grade accuracy, and customer deployments. Focus on ingesting massive datasets, investigating data discrepancies, building reports and dashboards, and improving deployment automation for utility customers.

Location: Remote or hybrid from Vilnius, Lithuania

Salary: €3,000–€5,000 per month plus equity

hirify.global uses machine learning and physics-enabled digital twins to help electricity utilities model infrastructure, assess risks, and improve grid resilience.

What you will do

  • Contribute to end-to-end deployment of the hirify.global platform for utility customers worldwide.
  • Ingest and manipulate large LiDAR, GIS, and asset datasets using hirify.global’s schema language and configuration framework.
  • Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure digital twins accurately represent real-world physics and customer specifications.
  • Build custom reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for utility engineers.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on process, tooling, and deployment automation improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Integration Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming or query language, such as SQL or Python, and the ability to learn a new schema language.
  • Fluent written English for technical configurations, internal knowledge bases, and external user manuals.
  • Ability to investigate complex data discrepancies and systematically reconfigure models to ensure engineering-grade accuracy.
  • Background in engineering, mathematics, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with GIS, CAD geoprocessing, or LiDAR data.
