TL;DR
Grant and Partnership Officer (Humanitarian Partnerships): Managing sub-grants, partner due diligence, compliance monitoring, and donor reporting for humanitarian programs in Cameroon with an accent on partnership development, contract administration, and proposal writing. Focus on coordinating partner selection, reviewing narrative and financial reports, conducting monitoring visits and spot-checks, and supporting donor audits.

Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon, with 25% travel in the field

Salary/Benefits: Grade 5 step 1 of the NRC Cameroon salary scale

What you will do

  • Support the development and implementation of NRC’s partnership strategy in Cameroon.
  • Coordinate partner selection, expressions of interest, calls for proposals, due diligence, and grant-contract signing.
  • Develop partnership agreements, memoranda of understanding, teaming agreements, and related contractual documents.
  • Coordinate partner contributions to donor proposals and support concept-note and proposal development.
  • Review partners’ narrative and financial reports, track compliance, budgets, procurement plans, payments, and results.
  • Plan and facilitate partner monitoring visits, remote monitoring, on-site monitoring, and spot-checks, including follow-up action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or college/university degree in a relevant field; management, administration, or marketing is desirable.
  • At least two years of relevant humanitarian-sector experience in contract management, partnership development, project management, or partnership management.
  • Experience working with humanitarian and development donors and knowledge of donor rules and regulations.
  • Strong report and proposal writing, communication, coordination, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the context in Cameroon, particularly the North-West, South-West, Far North, and East regions.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases are expected or desirable.
