TL;DR
Senior Full-Stack Engineer (React/Node.js/AWS): Building and maintaining transfer applications that enable clients to move financial products such as SIPPs and ISAs, with an accent on React frontends, AWS serverless backends, and infrastructure as code. Focus on owning issues through production deployment, improving CI/CD pipelines, and designing well-tested APIs across multiple environments.
Location: Bristol (Harbourside), UK; flexible working options including hybrid working

What you will do
- Build and maintain features across financial product transfer journeys for SIPPs and ISAs.
- Develop across React frontends, AWS Lambda BFF layers, and infrastructure-as-code stacks.
- Own issues end to end, from investigation and bug fixing through production deployment and operational support.
- Identify technical debt, defects, and opportunities to improve the applications and deployment processes.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and write well-tested, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with platform teams and product owners, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering standards.
Requirements
- Node.js and TypeScript, including AWS Lambda handler development and RESTful API design.
- Experience with API Gateway, Lambda middleware patterns, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store, IAM, VPC, and SNS.
- AWS CDK or SST experience and the ability to read and modify existing infrastructure-as-code stacks.
- Unit and integration testing with Vitest or similar, API mocking with MSW or equivalent, and a test-aware mindset.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monorepos, OAuth or token-based authentication, and Git-based team workflows.

Nice to have
- React with TypeScript, React Hook Form, Zod, TanStack Query, Vite, and Playwright.
- Accessibility awareness and experience with feature flagging or code quality tooling.
- SST v2, cross-account AWS patterns, contract testing with Pact, or financial services experience.
