Senior R&D Operations Specialist (AI)

Location: Must be based in Finland or Sweden and hold a valid work permit for the country of residence

What you will do

• Own, administer, configure, and manage AI and developer tools across an R&D organisation of 300–400 engineers.
• Monitor tool usage, costs, and anomalies, and establish guardrails for safe and cost-efficient adoption.
• Research tool configuration options and evolve the tooling environment to balance engineer autonomy with sensible boundaries.
• Track the changing AI tooling landscape and provide well-reasoned recommendations.
• Collaborate with vendors, R&D Operations, Business IT, and the wider engineering community.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience owning or administering an AI or developer tool at organisational scale, such as ChatGPT Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
• Strong technical understanding of how AI and developer tools work under the hood.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, and build structure in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with willingness to develop vendor-management responsibilities.
• Comfort using AI in daily work and developing AI tooling as part of an organisational strategy.
• Fluent written and spoken English; valid work permit required for the country of residence.
