Program Manager (Defense Tech)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of Flight and Lab team missions, from R&D prototyping through field readiness and mission deployment.
• Translate engineering requirements into executable schedules, success criteria, acceptance criteria, and release or field-testing readiness plans.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate R&D flight tasks, including ad-hoc priority activities and stakeholder syncs.
• Manage the lifecycle of flight equipment, including drone manufacturing, retrofitting, procurement, and ground infrastructure readiness.
• Track status, risks, resources, blockers, equipment availability, and field mission progress for leadership.
• Coordinate engineering, hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, product, and field-operation stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in program management, project management, delivery management, technical program management, or a similar role.
• Experience managing end-to-end delivery from R&D prototyping to field readiness and mission deployment.
• Experience managing equipment procurement, manufacturing coordination, resource dependencies, and supply chain tracking.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams and create clear executive-level reporting on operational blockers and mission status.
• Good written and verbal communication in English and Ukrainian.
• Readiness to handle sensitive defense-related information and follow strict operational security practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in drone or UAV operations, robotics, aerospace, or embedded systems development.
• Experience in startups or fast-scaling product companies.
• Experience with field testing, pilot programs, demonstrations, customer trials, or production-readiness processes.
• Experience working with military, government, security, or regulated customers.
• Background in engineering, product management, operations, or business analysis.
