Fire Crew Chief EMT

What you will do

• Lead and manage assigned fire and emergency services personnel during emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Respond as crew leader or incident commander to structural, aircraft, HazMat/CBRNE, rescue, medical, and other incidents.
• Maintain the operational readiness of assigned personnel and firefighting equipment.
• Supervise training, work details, crew-level administration, fire prevention, public education, and communications.
• Serve as a fill-in Assistant Fire Chief when qualified.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DoD, IFSAC, or Pro Board Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Fighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, and HazMat Awareness, Operations, and Incident Command certifications.
• Nationally Registered EMT-Basic certification or higher.
• Fluent English required.
• Passport book required, not a passport card, with at least 12 months of validity and four blank visa or stamp pages.
• Driver’s license must have at least six months of remaining validity.

Nice to have

• DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard HazMat Technician certification.
• Driver Operator certifications for Pumper, ARFF, Aerial, or MWS.
