Location: Hybrid, based in Los Angeles/Chatsworth or Madison in the United States, or Vancouver in Canada

What you will do
- Partner with Franchise Art Directors, Creative Directors, and Leads to translate high-level visual direction into production benchmarks.
- Create key art, previsualization, and concept designs for characters, environments, weapons, and props.
- Develop style guides, mood boards, documentation, and reference materials that define the visual style.
- Identify visual and technical risks, remove operational roadblocks, and guide the visual evolution of the universe.
- Mentor and motivate team members while supporting career development and constructive feedback.
- Support art department recruiting, including portfolio reviews, interviews, selection, and hiring decisions.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of professional concept art experience in the game industry.
- Portfolio demonstrating expert design, composition, anatomy, mechanics, and visual storytelling.
- Expertise in Photoshop, Blender, and Maya, with a strong emphasis on 2D concept art and previsualization.
- Strong knowledge of real-time game engines, asset creation workflows, and external outsourcing pipelines.
- Ability to lead by example, give and receive constructive feedback, and build trust across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach with high standards for ownership and project delivery.
