TL;DR
FPGA and DSP Team Lead (AU) (RF Detection and Defeat): Leading the development of electronic warfare products using SDRs, FPGAs, ARM-based embedded systems, and advanced signal processing with an accent on multi-FPGA architectures, real-time wide-bandwidth RF processing, and automated verification. Focus on designing low-latency embedded systems, implementing DSP and machine learning algorithms, and improving CI/CD build and deployment systems.

Location: Onsite at the central Sydney headquarters, Australia

What you will do

  • Lead and support the FPGA and DSP Engineering team developing electronic warfare products with Agile methodologies.
  • Assign and prioritise team work while balancing technical trade-offs and business objectives.
  • Maintain project plans, resource forecasts, and workforce planning activities.
  • Provide management updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and project status.
  • Design RF solutions, FPGA applications, ARM-based embedded systems, DSP algorithms, and machine learning implementations.
  • Develop multi-FPGA architectures, real-time MPSoC platforms, automated V&V frameworks, and reliable build and deployment systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience providing technical leadership within engineering teams.
  • Strong experience developing, debugging, and verifying FPGA designs using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with Vivado, Quartus, Vitis, or equivalent FPGA development tools, plus high-throughput and low-latency pipelined FPGA architectures.
  • Experience with C/C++ firmware, Linux-based development environments, PCB schematics, board bring-up, and hardware debugging.
  • Strong knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing, with exposure to machine learning and FPGA-based implementation.
