Staff Product Designer (AI): Lead the design vision and end-to-end product experience for a farmer-facing app that controls solar-powered livestock collars and supports pasture and animal-health management with an accent on visual craft, interaction design, and systems thinking. Focus on turning complex, real-time farm operations into simple, intuitive, and trustworthy experiences while shaping product strategy and integrating AI into the design process and product.
Location: Auckland, New Zealand HQ; office-first and primarily on-site, with flexibility when needed. Relocation and visa assistance are provided.

What you will do
- Lead the design vision and strategy for a significant area of the farmer-facing product experience.
- Own the full design process from discovery and product definition through interaction design, prototyping, visual design, and launch.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define product direction, customer value, and implementation.
- Turn complex and ambiguous farm-management problems into simple, intuitive, and trustworthy experiences.
- Use field research with farmers and graziers, data, experimentation, and product judgment to guide decisions.
- Raise design quality through craft, critique, collaboration, and leadership by example.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience, including at least 2 years at a senior or lead level.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design craft, demonstrated through a polished product design portfolio.
- Ownership mentality and ability to drive ambiguous work independently.
- Fluency with AI in the design process and in product experiences.
- Strong systems thinking, product judgment, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Ability to lead complex projects from initial problem definition through shipped product.
