Global Project Manager (Automotive)

Our client is the Russian rep office of a European company, a global expert in crimp and pin-contact connections, specializing in the design and production of machinery for the European and Chinese automotive industries – announces the opening of the position: Global Project Manager

Project Scope of Responsibility:
- Pin production project (pin connectors) for electronics (involving offices in Russia, China, and Estonia).
- (in 2-3 months): Take full responsibility for all matters related to after-sales service (customer support).
 
Goals and Objectives:
- Be a proactive leader in project management, specifically in terms of constant verification and control of project processes, as well as coordination and communication between company offices in different countries:
- Maintain constant contact with company executives involved in the project.
- Prepare a global roadmap and maintain its relevance and planning for the project.
- Verify and align local project plans with company offices in various countries.
- Update goals, plans, and scheduled work based on incoming reports from offices.
- Track (monitor) the execution of the action plan.
- Identify “bottlenecks” in existing planning and proactively adjust plans.
(In 2-3 months): Take over the management of after-sales service:
- Prepare client site visits and provide administrative support for them.
Collect and track all tasks related to after-sales service (customer support).

Requirements:
Higher technical (engineering) education is mandatory.
Fluent English (spoken and written – Intermediate/B2 level or higher); proficiency in Russian is mandatory.
At least 3 years of management and project experience.
Experience in engineering departments of manufacturing companies will be an advantage.
Strong leadership qualities; ability to command authority within the team; ability to unite employees and lead them; responsibility and the ability to strictly meet deadlines.
Extroverted personality with excellent communication skills and a desire to communicate extensively and daily with everyone involved in the product creation process when working on non-standard projects.
Be the project “driver”: ensure that tasks are assigned, documented, and completed.
Be involved in daily communication: checking what teams are doing, reporting issues upwards to management, etc.
Be prepared for occasional early morning communication with the office in China and evening after-sales service calls in Europe.
Willingness to complete a test assignment (1 hour duration) as one of the stages of the selection process.

Terms and Conditions:
Employment according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, in St. Petersburg (production site in Moskovsky District).
Salary 250,000 net, voluntary medical insurance (DMS) after the probation period (3 months).
Work schedule: office-based for the first 2 months (in the future, a hybrid format is possible: 2 days out of 5 – remote).
