Investment Analyst Opportunistic Credit

Location: Newport Beach, California, USA; based in the Newport Beach office

Salary: $135,000–$240,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus

Global active fixed-income investment firm investing across public and private markets, including corporate debt, equity, and alternative credit opportunities.

What you will do

• Identify and evaluate public and private corporate debt and equity investments, including long and short opportunities.
• Partner with alternatives deal teams on diligence, underwriting, and management of selected investments.
• Research industry sectors and individual companies through detailed financial modeling and credit documentation review.
• Present investment ideas and analysis to senior team members, portfolio managers, and investment committees.

Requirements

• 2+ years of meaningful investment banking, credit research, or credit investing experience.
• Strong credit analysis and financial modeling experience.
• Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, proactive working style, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to manage tasks with minimal direction, make preliminary decisions quickly, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written, oral, persuasive, and credible communication skills.

• Restructuring or distressed investment experience.
