TL;DR
R2R Accountant (SAP FI/Accounting): Managing general ledger, month-end closing, fixed assets, reconciliations, and accruals with an accent on SAP-based accounting operations, IFRS and local GAAP compliance, and audit controls. Focus on orchestrating month-end closing, resolving accounting issues, improving processes, and maintaining accurate fixed-asset and GL records.

Location: Hybrid in Amadora, Lisboa, Portugal; conditions also reference Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

  • Manage General Ledger activities, accrual postings, account housekeeping, and month-end closing.
  • Create and maintain Fixed Asset master data, capitalize assets, process cost-center transfers, and perform depreciation and amortization.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure audit controls are maintained.
  • Record R2R transactions accurately according to IFRS, local GAAP, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Investigate accounting issues, correct errors, and support process and procedure improvements.
  • Collaborate with accounting hubs, local business teams, and internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance Operations.
  • Practical SAP knowledge in Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and month-end closing.
  • Good understanding of SAP FI.
  • English at B2–C1 level.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Power BI.

Nice to have

  • Experience with transitions and transformation projects.
  • Experience with Smart Close and BlackLine Account Reconciliation.
