Focus on identifying dead air, weak transitions, and ineffective payoffs while producing detailed written assessments for AI training.

What you will do
- Watch short-form videos and assess how effectively they are edited.
- Evaluate hooks, opening sequences, pacing, rhythm, cut density, and audience retention.
- Identify dead air, weak transitions, flow issues, and payoffs that do not land.
- Write clear, detailed explanations that reference specific moments in each video.
- Potentially take on hands-on editing work as the project develops.
Requirements
- Professional experience editing short-form content for agencies, brands, advertisements, TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
- Strong DaVinci Resolve skills, as the primary editing software.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Ability to explain editorial reasoning clearly in writing.
- A reel or portfolio demonstrating short-form video work.
- Reliable internet connection and a computer capable of running DaVinci Resolve comfortably.
Nice to have
- Motion graphics or captioning experience.
- Experience editing to a client brief and handling revision rounds.
