TL;DR
Security Operations Analyst (Cloud Security/Fintech): Supporting security operations across cloud and on-premise environments with an accent on threat detection, incident response, vulnerability testing, and audit readiness. Focus on operating SIEM and endpoint security tooling, analysing security findings, tracking remediation, and strengthening controls for DORA compliance.
Location: Riga, Latvia; hybrid flexibility with office collaboration, work-from-home options, and the possibility to work from another country for up to three months per year.
Salary: €2,500–€2,900 per month, plus stock options.

What you will do
- Support daily security operations, including monitoring, threat detection, and incident response across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Operate and improve SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, endpoint protection, and antivirus tooling.
- Conduct security and vulnerability testing, analyse results, and prepare vulnerability reports.
- Participate in information security audits, compliance activities, and DORA readiness.
- Track remediation timelines for vulnerabilities, risk assessments, and audits in Jira while coordinating with stakeholders.
- Review new systems and infrastructure changes, research security improvements, and support security awareness, training, and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in system or network management, cloud administration, security operations, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash for log analysis and incident response.
- Ability to combine technical security work with documentation and process-oriented tasks.
- Strong written and spoken English and Latvian.
- Ability to follow established processes while proactively identifying issues and gaps.
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated financial services company.
- Knowledge of DORA, PCI DSS, or similar regulatory frameworks.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containers, microservices, or security ticketing systems.
