Experienced Test Manager Rolling Stock (all gender) (Railway Testing): Planning and coordinating verification and validation activities for complex rolling stock systems across bid and project phases with an accent on test strategies, system testing, railway standards, and technical documentation. Focus on coordinating external test institutes, managing testing infrastructure, tracking First Article Inspection activities, and resolving technical clarifications with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Location: Vienna, Austria; flexible working hours and mobile working possible
Salary: starting at €4,500 gross per month for 38.5 hours per week, with potential overpayment based on qualifications and experience

What you will do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and verification activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain test strategies, test management plans, test matrices, and related documentation.
- Coordinate system tests, external testing activities, independent test institutes, and required testing infrastructure.
- Review test plans, specifications, and verification documents for quality, consistency, and completeness.
- Monitor and report testing and First Article Inspection activities against project requirements and schedules.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Homologation, Customer Care, Project Management, customers, authorities, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Railway Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Several years of experience in test management, verification, validation, or commissioning of complex technical systems.
- Experience in the rolling stock industry and understanding of railway vehicle systems and operations.
- Knowledge of railway standards and regulations such as TSI, EN 50215, and EU No. 402/2013.
- Familiarity with requirements and project management tools such as DOORS, SAP, Primavera, or similar applications.
- Very good written and spoken German and English language skills are required.
