MSL/Sr. MSL Oncology (Multiple Myeloma) (Medical Affairs): Supporting AbbVie's oncology research and business objectives across an Upper Midwest territory with an accent on scientific communication, healthcare professional education, and clinical research collaboration. Focus on developing expert relationships, presenting therapeutic information, supporting site and investigator initiatives, and addressing unsolicited medical questions while traveling up to 75% of the time.

Location: Field-based territory covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Must live in the territory or be willing to self-relocate within it.

Salary: $124,500–$236,500 per year, plus eligible benefits and long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

  • Serve as a field-based scientific expert for oncology and multiple myeloma across the product lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Present scientific information on disease states, therapeutic landscapes, and hirify.global products.
  • Support research initiatives, including site evaluation, recruitment, investigator meetings, and physician-initiated projects.
  • Provide medical and scientific support to healthcare providers and internal cross-functional partners.
  • Deliver training, maintain compliant documentation, and manage territory expenses within budget.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree required, such as PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, or relevant APP qualification; a doctorate in a health science or clinical discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant experience typically ranges from 0–2 years for MSL and at least 3 years for Senior MSL.
  • Strong clinical, scientific communication, presentation, teaching, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software tools.
  • Ability to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, and immunization or vaccination records.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
