Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build annotation interfaces, generation workflows, supporting pipelines, and internal platforms.
• Develop systems for tracking annotation quality, cost, throughput, and coverage.
• Redesign researcher and prototyper request-planning workflows and support capacity and priority tradeoffs.
• Build dataset browsing, evaluation dashboards, and production operations tooling for lab, warehouse, and real-world deployments.
• Gather requirements, prioritize work, define success metrics, write specifications, ship tools, and iterate from user feedback.
• Deliver and support production-quality frontend interfaces, backend APIs, data models, dashboards, and cloud services.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with production web applications and APIs.
• Professional experience with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with relational databases, especially Postgres, analytical systems such as ClickHouse, and queueing systems.
• Familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes-based containerized environments.
• Ability to design workflows combining people, models, and software, and to navigate ambiguous requirements.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Founder or early-employee experience and comfort solving ambiguous problems end to end.
• Experience building data-labeling platforms, human-in-the-loop tools, or data-centric AI systems.
• Experience with internal tools for research, robotics, or operationally intensive environments.
• Experience with tasking, instruction management, scheduling, resource allocation, or workflow orchestration.
