TL;DR
Senior AI/ML Engineer (LLMs/RAG): Building production AI agents and document intelligence pipelines for complex contract analysis with an accent on Python engineering, retrieval systems, OCR, and measurable evaluation. Focus on designing agentic workflows, extracting reliable contractual insights, and implementing observability for accuracy, failures, latency, and output quality.
Location: Work from home 100% of the time or work from one of Technologies' global offices; the role is listed in Quito, Ecuador.

What you will do
- Design and build LLM-powered agents and agentic workflows for contract analysis and intelligence.
- Develop production-quality Python AI services and pipelines, including RAG ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, ranking, and context management.
- Process contracts and legal documents using OCR, document AI, and unstructured data pipelines.
- Build systems that identify contract clauses, amendments, revisions, conflicts, dependencies, obligations, dates, and contractual relationships.
- Create evaluation frameworks and metrics for accuracy, reliability, relevance, and agent performance.
- Implement observability and monitoring for tracing, metrics, failures, latency, and output quality while collaborating with domain experts, analysts, and engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM, agent architecture, and OCR or Document AI systems.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong production experience in Python.
- Practical experience deploying LLM applications and AI agents in production or near-production environments.
- Strong understanding of LLM architectures, agent patterns, tool calling, orchestration, context management, RAG, databases, vector databases, and document or relational databases.
- Experience with AI system observability, monitoring, tracing, evaluation strategies, and objective performance metrics.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, analytical skills, independent implementation ability, and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working with commercial contracts and legal documents, including SOWs, amendments, clause versions, conflicting terms, obligations, dates, and contract parties.
- Legal, contract-management, or legal-tech background.
