SEO Country Lead (Italy)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end SEO strategy and roadmap for the Italian market.
• Analyse Italian search behaviour, user intent, competitors, and market trends.
• Identify and prioritise opportunities to increase organic sessions, signups, active users, returning users, and search visibility.
• Partner with localisation, design, product, engineering, data, and content teams to create locally relevant experiences.
• Maintain technical SEO foundations including site speed, crawlability, indexation, structured data, hreflang, and mobile optimisation.
• Develop reporting frameworks and repeatable processes, while exploring AI search, GEO, and AEO.

Requirements

• Native Italian and business-level English, with a deep understanding of Italian search behaviour and cultural nuances.
• Experience leading SEO initiatives for large websites across technical SEO, content, and authority building.
• Ability to develop market strategies from the ground up using data and local knowledge.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to work autonomously and resolve blockers.
• Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Looker, Omni, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-year market expansion strategies, hyper-growth environments, mobile-first optimisation, or multi-platform search ecosystems.
