Product Owner (Payments)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or onsite; employees must reside in California, Illinois, Texas, Minnesota, Colorado, Georgia, Connecticut, New York, or Massachusetts. U.S. work authorization is required. Office option available in Santa Barbara.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and prioritize the Payment Experience product backlog in alignment with product and company goals.
• Break initiatives and incoming requests into user stories with clear problem statements, acceptance criteria, and dependencies.
• Gather use cases and requirements from stakeholders across Risk, Support, Sales, and Revenue Operations.
• Run backlog refinement every sprint and maintain at least two sprints of ready work.
• Act as the communication link between stakeholders and engineering throughout delivery.
• Track adoption and outcomes after release and adjust priorities based on findings.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as a Product Owner or in a closely related product role.
• At least two years of hands-on Agile and Scrum experience, including backlog refinement and backlog health ownership.
• Demonstrated outcome-focused delivery and direct experience working with users and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize work using explicit criteria.
• Experience keeping product work visible in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Must reside in one of the approved U.S. states and have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
• CSPO or PSPO certification.
• Comfort using product data to inform priorities.
