TL;DR
Technology Designer New Grad (ICT): Designing and supporting implementation of low-voltage technology systems for buildings, including structured cabling, audio/video, security, and wireless systems with an accent on technical documentation, code-compliant design, and multidisciplinary coordination. Focus on analyzing low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks, coordinating project requirements and schedules, and developing practical solutions with senior engineers and consultants.
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; full-time in office. Travel up to 50%, including local, domestic, and international travel. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $75,000–$77,000 per year in Minnesota.

What you will do
- Assist with the design and analysis of structured cabling, audio/video, security, wireless, and other low-voltage ICT systems for buildings.
- Create technical designs, specifications, calculations, and documentation using engineering software and tools.
- Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and document design decisions.
- Support project planning, scheduling, budget monitoring, design progress, and consulting project execution.
- Analyze low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks and develop practical, innovative solutions with senior engineers and consultants.
- Participate in quality control, safety reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, electronics, computer, related engineering, information technology, computer science, or another related STEM field.
- Knowledge of technical design methods, tools, and concepts used to produce plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, basic IT networking topologies and protocols, and low-voltage building systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of BIM software and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work full-time in the Minneapolis office.
Nice to have
- Internship experience in building design consulting.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) license.
