Software Developer Consultant (Java)

Location: Rome, Italy, with smart working possibility and a hybrid work model involving in-person collaboration.

Gross annual base salary starting from €36,000.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver new or enhanced business and technical applications.
• Analyze and resolve business and technical problems using appropriate tools and solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand business, technical, and strategic requirements.
• Define and maintain development standards and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to junior developers.
• Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree; a technical field such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with digital development services, Agile application development, DevOps, cloud-based applications, and microservices architecture.
• Strong coding experience with Java EE, Spring Framework, single-page application frameworks, Docker, design patterns, architecture design, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, cloud AI services, LLM platforms such as Azure OpenAI, basic ML frameworks, and AI API integration.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall development processes, DevOps, and modern software design methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and results-focused skills.
