Building an AI-powered recruitment platform that automates the recruitment lifecycle through AI agents, a candidate pipeline, third-party integrations, and job boards.
What you will do
- Build and maintain FastAPI REST endpoints for recruiter workflows, candidate management, job configuration, and integration webhooks.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, queries, and Alembic migrations, including performance analysis with EXPLAIN ANALYZE.
- Implement multi-tenant data access patterns with consistent tenant isolation and protection against cross-tenant data leakage.
- Develop asynchronous Celery and AWS SQS workers with retry logic, idempotency, and dead-letter queue handling.
- Build and extend integrations with Lever ATS, SendGrid, IMAP, AWS S3, OAuth, and external job boards.
- Write unit, integration, asynchronous, and webhook tests; participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, documentation, and on-call incident response.
Requirements
- Four years of production Python backend engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, asyncio, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, PostgreSQL, database schema design, indexing, query optimization, and Alembic.
- Experience with asynchronous task systems such as AWS SQS, Celery, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience building REST API integrations, OAuth flows, webhooks, and third-party services.
- Strong testing discipline with pytest, integration tests, and asynchronous testing patterns.
- Systems design experience with an understanding of failure modes, edge cases, observability, and production service development.
Nice to have
- React experience.
- pgvector or vector database experience.
- AWS Bedrock and LLM integration experience.
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture experience.
