Senior Public Sector Project Manager (AdvisoryX) (Public Sector/Project Management): Leading the development of public-sector IT roadmaps and managing consulting engagements with an accent on project governance, client alignment, delivery control, and technology-enabled business solutions. Focus on coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks and contractual milestones, facilitating client workshops, and supporting pre-sales business cases.
Location: Rome, Italy, with a hybrid work model and smart working possibility
Salary: Gross annual base salary starting from €40,000

What you will do
- Create roadmaps describing current and target public-sector IT environments.
- Plan and manage project execution, timelines, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, and contractual deliverables.
- Align client strategy, organization, operations, and processes with growth and organizational objectives.
- Lead public-sector workshops, analyze technical and functional documentation, and develop technology-enabled business solutions.
- Coordinate client and back-office engagement teams, lead status meetings, and report progress, issues, and change requests.
- Support pre-sales opportunities, build ROI-based business cases, coach clients, and participate in project-team hiring interviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- At least 5 years of management consulting experience in the public-sector domain.
- Hands-on knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project-management methodologies.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery and Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for Waterfall planning and control.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, cross-functional teams, and client negotiations.
- Italian mother tongue and fluent English, both spoken and written.
Nice to have
- Project Management or Agile certifications such as PMP/PMI, PRINCE2 Practitioner, UNI 11648 Project Manager, CSM, or PSM I.
- Basic experience using AI-enabled tools for meeting summaries, action tracking, reporting, risk analysis, stakeholder communication, backlog refinement, and decision support.
