Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus (Onsite)

What you will do

• Design and implement a viable security system covering IAM, infrastructure, and AppSec.
• Perform a comprehensive diagnosis of the current security landscape and set strategic priorities.
• Define and enforce guardrails for the company-wide adoption of AI tools.
• Hire and mentor the first security engineers to grow the function deliberately.
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation by communicating effectively with leadership and engineering teams.
• Foster a security-as-a-partner culture that integrates baseline practices without acting as a blocker.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in security with a proven track record of designing and implementing systems.
• Strong background in infrastructure, architecture, or systems engineering.
• Proven experience in hiring and building a team of at least 2+ people.
• Deep understanding of the security product market and ability to make build-vs-buy decisions.
• Experience taking a security function from an unclear state to a working, mature system.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams rather than through top-down authority.

Nice to have

• Experience in B2C products, SaaS, gamedev, or mobile apps.
• Experience being the first or founding security hire in a company.
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and working with external security providers.
