People Operations

Cognition builds Devin, an AI software engineer, and develops AI systems designed to reason about real-world tasks.

What you will do

• Own and scale People systems, HR technology, data, workflows, integrations, and operational infrastructure.
• Design scalable tracking systems, playbooks, checklists, documentation, and ownership models.
• Lead US benefits operations and support the development of international benefits programs.
• Build compliance infrastructure for a multi-state and international workforce, and maintain employee policies and the handbook.
• Manage the immigration program end to end and advise leaders on complex People situations, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, Legal, IT, Recruiting, employees, and external vendors while using data to improve programs and controls.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in People Operations or HR at a fast-growing startup or technology company.
• End-to-end experience owning and scaling benefits, immigration, compliance, HR systems, and employee operations programs.
• Comfort working in a high-velocity environment where priorities evolve and processes are still being built.
• Strong first-principles thinking, judgment, problem-solving, and ability to develop practical solutions to ambiguous challenges.
• Strong data-driven, analytical, and program management skills, including cross-functional initiative delivery from concept through execution.
